The game starts off with the four main children running through the sewers, being chased by Zone 5.1 agents. Evidently, this particular puzzle made it into the beginning of the current game. Jonathan's favorite puzzle in the game would have been one involving the word "Woof", an idea which was inspired by a suggestion by AbbyDrew. At the end of the game, Diz would have been captured, yet again, by Zone 5.1 and subsequently killed. Much like the first idea, production went to nearly a hault after the first room was created. Similar to RT 1, you would have had to try to find a way out of your cell. It would involve, not playing as Phil, but playing as Diz who had been recaptured by Zone 5.1. This original idea was scrapped for a better idea sparked by one of Jonathan's friends, Mr-Shark (who now goes by Krahs). Jonathan had planned some water level-changing puzzles and had a vague idea for the end of the game involving some beast being electrocuted by a toaster. The sewers didn't get much farther than the first room. In the first version, Riddle Transfer 2 was originally going to involve Phil, Zack, Phred, and Smiley escaping through a sewage system. He also felt a great amount of stress in making this game as he had underestimated the amount of time and effort that would have to go into it in order to make it satisfying for both him and his fans.Ĭome July 4, 2012, with a heavy heart, Jonathan decided to officially cancel Riddle Transfer 2 and the three games he had, at the time, planned to make afterwards. Especially with Jonathan learning a lot about character and game development, he felt the effort of this game wasn't worth the outcome. He felt himself drifting apart from his characters, all of which he had previously thought to be deep and interesting, only to be one-dimensional in reality. As time went on, he found the story of the original game was rather weak and would cause the series to go downhill dramatically. While only about a week was spent being put into creating the story of the series, Jonathan intended to put forth years of work into this game. The original production of this game began shortly after Riddle Transfer. It was published on Newgrounds on May 25, 2016, the date of Riddle School's 10 year anniversary.
